Great job Julie! Thanks heaps, my copy arrived in the mail. I did try to email earlier to let you know but for some reason it kept bouncing. I love the photography and have even managed to find a few new places that might make for a nice scenic run or two! Congrats!!

Cheers,

Yes, Halls Gap is a wonderful area. We only had time for a short walk when we passed through about 18 months ago, but I remember all of the kangaroos grazing in the main street. We did an 2.5 easy loop from the National Park and Cultural Centre and saw lots more wallabies grazing beside the track. It's definitely a place we'd like to go back to.

Hi Kirsten - according to Hobsons Bay Council guidelines, dogs are only allowed on leash on Altona Beach between Romawi and Mount Streets, but not at all from 10am to 930pm from 1st of November to end of April. However, they ARE allowed off-leash all year round just a bit further along at the fabulous Burns Reserve (Melways 55 B9), which borders the Altona Coastal Park and has wonderful flat sands at low tide, which dogs just love. Restrictions can change though, so best to check Hobson's Bay Local Laws Unit if you are unsure on 03 9932 1000. They also have lots of other reserves in the council area which are off leash all year round: http://www.hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au/Community/Animals/Dog_off-leash_locations - hope that helps.

Not meaning to be picky, but the planet's probably ten times as ancient as that (defining the at what point the formation of a planet has completed is a bit arbitrary). 5-600 Ma would place it in the Cambrian which is an exciting period in its own right though.
