The first new guidebook for very many years for the Grampians National Parks, Deb and I are very happy to have researched, walked, written, photographed and mapped our new ‘Best Walks of the Gariwerd/Grampians National Park‘, which was published in December 2019 by Woodslane Press and Australian Geographic. It’s available online and in bookstores, and at many outlets in Grampians itself, including the newsagent, Brambuk National Park Centre and Outdoor Adventures. It includes many realigned walks ranging from 1-12km, and from easy to tough, with some multi-day walks (including the first 3 day loop of the Grampians Peaks Trail). I have to say, this was a cracking guidebook to walk – the Grampians are an absolute jewel in the Australian walking crown. And less than 4 hours drive from Melbourne.
Here’s the hit-list, from North to South.
- Mura Mura / Mt Zero
- Guingalg / Mt Stapylton
- Wudjub Guyan / Hollow Mountain
- Gulgurn / Manja Shelter
